2026 Around the Town

Description

The Seneca County Collaborative, in partnership with Heidelberg University and Tiffin University, invites you to participate in Around the Town on Sunday, August 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in downtown Tiffin. This year's event will take place between Court Street and Jefferson Street, with additional activities happening at the East Green Amphitheater. Booth setup begins at 5:00 PM, and all participants must be fully set up by 5:45 PM.

Around the Town is one of the largest opportunities each year for local businesses, nonprofits, and organizations to connect with incoming and returning Heidelberg and Tiffin University students. More than 1,000 students have attended in previous years, making it an excellent opportunity to introduce your organization, recruit employees or volunteers, promote your services, and build relationships with students who will become part of our community.

This year, we're giving the event a fresh new feel. With a new evening schedule, we're creating a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere where students are encouraged to stay, explore, and interact with our local business community. Throughout the evening, attendees will enjoy music from T-Town DJ, yard games, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to connect with organizations from across Seneca County.

One lucky student will even ride away on a brand-new E-bike, generously donated by Outbound Cycles and Reineke Family Dealerships. Participating businesses and organizations are also invited to donate giveaway items, helping us create excitement throughout the event while increasing visibility for your organization.

The two universities will continue to arrive in staggered groups, allowing for more meaningful conversations and reducing congestion at booths. We encourage participants to think beyond a traditional display and create an engaging experience. Interactive activities, games, contests, photo opportunities, or giveaways are all great ways to attract students and leave a lasting impression. The more energy and creativity you bring, the more successful your booth is likely to be.
