Finding Hope: An Evening with Elizabeth Smart - FREE COMMUNITY EVENT
The Seneca County Violence Prevention Task Force presents a powerful and inspiring evening with Elizabeth Smart, nationally recognized survivor, advocate, author, and founder of the Elizabeth Smart Foundation. At age 14, Elizabeth was abducted from her home and endured nine months in captivity before being rescued.
Since then, she has dedicated her life to helping others through advocacy, education, and survivor support. Her story of courage, resilience, and hope has inspired millions around the world. Elizabeth is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir My Story and has been a leading voice for victim advocacy, child safety, and sexual violence prevention.
Through the Elizabeth Smart Foundation, Elizabeth works to combat sexual violence through survivor support, awareness, advocacy, and prevention initiatives. The foundation's mission is to bring hope, empowerment, and change while helping individuals and communities recognize, prevent, and respond to sexual violence. During this special community event, Elizabeth will share her personal journey, discuss the importance of resilience and healing, and offer a message of hope for survivors, families, and communities. Her presentation encourages meaningful conversations about safety, support, and the power of overcoming adversity.
